The Haunted House
A tilted Victorian on a hill, full moon behind it. The signature carve.
The Haunted House: cut the dark areas. Hard, about 75 minutes. From halloweendecorationsideas.com
How to carve this one
- Print this page. Press the button above, or use your browser's print menu. A4 or Letter. Margins: minimum.
- Trim and tape. Cut close to the design. Make slits around the edge so the paper hugs the pumpkin. Tape it on.
- Poke the dark outline. Thumbtack every 4 to 6 mm. Close dots = clean cut.
- Peel and cut. Remove the paper. Saw between dots. Start from the smallest interior shape and work outward.
- Light it. Battery LED candle holds up best in October weather and won't burn the lid.
Tip: For hard patterns like this one, a small detail saw beats a chef's knife. The cheap saws that come in carving kits are actually the right tool.
